Whitney Salie will discuss the
creative needs with the client
to determine the best approach
for the project.  Preliminary
drawings will be presented for
review at a future meeting 
before the final illustration is
rendered.  Payment is made
by the job or hourly, depending
on the commission.

Portraits are created using acrylic paint with glazing to achieve transparency and color depth.  Whitney Salie works from photographs taken over a couple of meetings while getting to know the subject.  From the several photographs taken, Whitney will suggest
a suitable pose and the client will make the final selection.

Pricing varies greatly depending on size and background.  This young ballerina was photographed at a dance studio with tile flooring and mirrors.  Whitney painted her portrait and created this romantic setting of hardwood floors and aged plaster wall with practice bar to set the stage for this beautiful dancer.
